Where Pyramid History Truly Began - An Absolute Hidden Gem!

Everyone talks about Giza, but our day with Ahmed exploring Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur was the secret highlight of our entire trip to Egypt. It felt like we had the history of the pyramids all to ourselves! Ahmed started the day at the Bent Pyramid in Dahshur. Seeing this 'practice' pyramid, with its unique shape, in the middle of an almost empty desert was surreal. Ahmed explained the engineering trials and errors so clearly, we felt like we were witnessing the ancient architects' 'eureka!' moments in real time. Then, we visited the ancient capital of Memphis. Standing next to the colossal statue of Ramses II, lying peacefully in its museum, was humbling. Ahmed's stories made us imagine the bustling city that once surrounded it. But the crown jewel was Saqqara. Walking into the Step Pyramid complex of King Djoser was like stepping back in time. It’s the very first pyramid ever built! Ahmed then arranged a special surprise we got to go inside a nearby tomb where the walls were covered in incredibly vivid, colorful hieroglyphs that looked like they were painted yesterday. It was an absolute privilege. This tour is a must for anyone who wants to understand the evolution of the pyramids. It’s quieter, deeply fascinating, and Ahmed’s passion makes you feel like an explorer discovering lost secrets. A perfect 10/10 day!

Ahmed Gave Us the Pyramids All to Ourselves!

Ahmed made our day unforgettable. He whisked us between Saqqara, Memphis, and Dahshur with such ease, sharing stories that made these ancient sites come alive. Best of all? He knew exactly how to find quiet moments we often had entire pyramids to ourselves! Excellent tour and guide highly recommend

We had the absolute best experience with Ahmed Haiba on our tour of Saqqara, Memphis, and Dashur pyramids. He is by far the most knowledgeable and engaging guide we’ve ever had! Not only did he bring history to life with fascinating insights, but he also made sure we truly understood and appreciated what we were seeing. Our driver was kind and accommodating, as well. Ahmed Haiba even added a few stops for us on request, including to the Nile Carpet School and a local perfume shop. I felt I was walking and talking with a friend the whole time. He shared his culture and country with pride and professionalism, and we enjoyed the tour very much. Also, be sure to get the Egyptian lunch He offers on the tour, the place was very authentic and delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this tour and specifically Ahmed Haiba. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cairo.
